There were two pictures,
One was of me in the sixth grade. Gemini had taken it the minute I stepped out of the bathroom (god knows why). My hair was still black and short that time, but my face registered the same feminine touches that she had.
The second one was taken in front of the cafe I’m in right now. Our hair was identical. Long, sparkly, and dyed many neon colors. We were looking prim and proper with our brand-new school uniforms. We were on our way to the first day of high school.
These two pictures… I’m holding them right now. They’re the only things that make me smile nowadays. Those and the vivid dreams of my ashen childhood.
